While on probation for shoplifting, Lindsay Lohan was charged with misdemeanor charges of providing false information to a police officer, deliberately resisting, obstructing, and/or delaying a police officer and reckless driving, US Magazine reported. The car accident, which occurred back in June, occurred after Lohan’s car rear-ended a truck. She allegedly stated that her assistant, Gavin Doyle, was driving at the time of the accident.
As Lohan showed up in court on March 18 over 45 minutes late, both Lohan and her attorney, Mike Heller, were covered in glitter that was thrown at them. Lohan accepted a plea bargain, which entails 18 months of psychological counseling, with the exception of 2 months already served, and a 90-day housing treatment program. While she was also slapped with a reckless driving charge, which has a required time of five days in jail, the time that would be spent in jail will be added to her time at rehab. Additionally, Lohan is required to serve 30 days of community labor, which could possibly be completed in New York, US Magazine speculates. The labor is to be accomplished after her time at rehab is done.
Her next court hearing, which will take place on May 2, will decide how much money Lohan owes the victim of the car accident. She was ordered to pay a $30 fee for a criminal conviction assessment and a $240 fine for restitution. When Heller began to verbalize the details of her plea, Lohan reportedly muttered for him to “shut up” and “don’t say anything.”
However, Lohan seems to have recovered just fine from her sentence, appearing at FLUXX, a nightclub in San Diego, less than a week after she was ordered to go to rehab. An unnamed source reported to US Magazine that Lohan was smoking and drinking Ketel One vodka on the rocks and reportedly wore a baseball hat with a hooded sweatshirt over it.
The next night, Lohan was spotted at club 41 Ocean, located in Santa Monica, California. Wearing a baggy sweatshirt over a tight black dress, she attempted to hide her face from the paparazzi as she left the club later that night, according to US Magazine.
The judge warned Lohan that this was her last chance to get on the right track.
“A suggestion: don’t drive. You’re in New York. You don’t need to drive. This is it. You violate your probation and we’re not going to be having discussions about putting you back on probation in either case,” the judge explained to Lohan.
